Google SketchUp Tutorials
Google SketchUp can be used to create 3D models. This can be hugely powerful if you invest the time in learning the more advanced features - One of the most exciting features is that you can export your creations to .svg files that can be laser cut!

Google SketchUp has an amazing collection of their own tutorial videos. Whether you've never used SketchUp before or you want to dig deeper into this powerful application, this is the place to look for information and instructions! Watch the first two videos to get started - They are great!
2 - The .SVG and .STL Plugins (Required for Exporting Files to the Laser Cutter or 3D Printer)
To import or export files from SketchUp, we'll need to use an extra plugin.
The file format we use for the Laser Cutter is .SVG, and the format we use for the 3D-Printer is .STL.

How to Install the .SVG Plugin and Export from SketchUpThis video shows you how to install the .SVG Export Plugin for use with the Laser Cutter. Note: The steps for installing the STL Plugin (for 3D-Printing) would be nearly identical, except that you would download the STL plugin instead.
